Description
Up for your consideration in this auction is a mono copy of "The Beatles vs The Four Seasons", a 2 record set. It includes "Introducing the Beatles" and "Golden Hits of The Four Seasons". It has a gate-fold cover that includes band history and member stats inside. The label is Vee-Jay Records, with a catalog number of DX 30 on the sleeve, and the catalog numbers on the individual records are VJLP 1062 for The Beatles one and VJLP 1065 for the other. Originally this set came with a number of extras (photos, poster) but they are NOT present. Only the records and sleeve are included in this auction. The sleeve is in as is condition with some issues. The spine has some paper loss, someone wrote their initials on the top right corner on the back, there is some splitting inside the sleeve gate-fold in the middle, and there is significant splitting to the front pocket, both on top and bottom. This split became a tear into the bottom middle portion of the front pocket. The bottom split measures 4 inches and another 2 inches extends onto the cover. The top of this front pocket is split 5 inches in. The records themselves show wear, with very light scratches throughout, but nothing that affects play. Side two of the Four Seasons has a somewhat deeper scratch that looks like it would affect play but it does not. I played every side of this album all the way through before listing and there were no skips, crackles or pops, it played well. This is a rare record in good to fair condition.
