Description
Rare opportunity to grab a pretty early UK 1st pressing of The Beatles 1968 2-LP self-titled opus, commonly referred to as the White Album.
This is a genuine UK 1st press with the top loading sleeve with flipbacks in the centrefold, NO EMI credit on the labels and the "Sold in U.K. ..." line.
The front cover has 'The Beatles' embossed and is issue number 0159687.
It comes with the original folded lyric poster – it has a small part of one corner missing and tape marks, but is in pretty good shape – I'd grade it VG.
The sleeve has some wear and feathered corners, plus a little ringwear to the back. It easily grades VG+, maybe slightly better.
All four records have been well played and the vinyl has plenty of hairlines and marks but only one small feelable scratch that I noticed. Visually it grades Good +, while the audio is much better than that for the most part - some surface noise, a few tics and one brief skip on Side 2 track 6.
Original black inners, one damaged.
No photos.
VERY collectable. Make an offer by all means but it would need to be a serious one for me to accept it.
