Description
THE BEATLES – WHITE ALBUM, ORIGINAL STEREO.
1968 PCS 7067/7068 - APPLE RECORD LABEL.
A UK FIRST EDITION TOP LOADING STEREO PRESSING IN AVERAGE ORIGINAL CONDITION, FEATURING A UNIQUE SERIAL NUMBER OF ‘0469228’.
matrix numbers are: Side 1: YEX 709-1 Side 2 YEX 710-1 Side 3 YEX 711-1
Side 4 YEX 712-1
Both records have the label "Factory Sample - NOT FOR SALE" on them making them an unusual collectors item
CONDITION:
MAIN SLEEVE: the double album gatefold sleeve is in average condition with some light marking - there is a name "N MASON" written on the inside left in biro - I have not tried to remove this so I am unsure as to whether it can be easily removed. The top opening edges are all average. On the front it has the wording ‘The Beatles’ embossed and a unique individual SERIAL Number of 0469228, this number appears quite clear and bold. To the rear there is the word ‘Stereo’ printed, the records are accessed from the top. all the text is readable.
INNER SLEEVES: both are in average condition and feature the two original BLACK inners, they have NOT been replaced. One of the sleeves has a tear and both have some creasing.
POSTERS & PHOTOS are missing.
VINYL: record One (sides 1+2): is in average condition with a few light scratches.
Record Two (sides 3+4) also in average condition however side 4 does have a heavier scratch on it for appx the last 3rd of it - this does not appear to cause any jumping or clicking
both records have some low hissing and sounds comparable with age and condition
The two records are of the original ‘thick and heavy’ vinyl and are dark and shiny. THE LABELS: are in good condition, featuring the original DARK green Apple colours. All the labels show ‘Sold in the UK’ text etc.
