Description
This is probably the best sounding vinyl version of The Beatles 'Abbey Road' I've ever heard. After having heard virtually all the other highly regarded pressings (1st Japanese, EMI-Toshiba Pro-Use Series, MFSL, UHQR test pressing) I kept coming back to this one for one simple reason: Balance. It seems to contain all the best characteristics of the above pressings and unify them into this one perfectly equalized version.
Condition of Lp Jacket: Excellent....a couple of minor issues prevents me from giving it a NM grade..slight wear to the cover's thin spine...scattered creases and laminate lift and a small area of discoloration (bottom right corner) are the only detracting factors from an otherwise superb example of this iconic jacket.
Condition of Record: Very Good(minus) .....I am being extremely conservative in my grading to avoid disappointment. Most of this record (70%) plays Excellent+. Had this been a Near Mint copy, I'd be asking for 5 x the price. Inoffensive ticks are heard now and then and some low level background noise in the very quiet parts. These imperfections won't matter when you are tuned into the incredible sonics coming from this record. This is a PLAYING copy for those who want to HEAR what this beautiful album really sounds like without having to deplete your bank account.
