Description
This auction is for the ultra rare "Please Please Me/Ask Me Why" vinyl 45 by The Beatles - Vee Jay Records 498.
This record has the group name spelled correctly. The print is bold and the record number does not the "#" in front of it. The labels are black with colorband and the oval Vee Jay logo. This record corresponds to VJ 498.05 in Bruce Spizer's Vee Jay guide. The markings in the trail off areas indicate that these were produced by Monarch Records.
The record has numerous scratches and scuffing. It has been play tested and does not skip on my equipment. There is a continuous hissing sound in the background. The side two vinyl has a very small chip on the edge that does not affect play. The vinyl grades G.
The labels show significant wear, but no writing, no stickers, etc. Also grades G.
Auction includes a Vee Jay 45 sleeve as seen in the photos.
