Description
This is an excellent very close to near mint original mono pressing of the Beatles LP, Revolver, released by Capitol Records in 1966. This edition was pressed in the Capitol Records pressing plant in Scranton, PA, which is signified by the small triangle etched in the dead wax of the LP. This is considered by many to be the best of all of the group's albums. Near mint mono pressings of this LP have a book value of as much as $250.
As to grading, I grade very conservatively following Goldmine Record grading standard. Except that for records that are a notch below near mint, rather than VG ++, I prefer to use grade of Excellent. I do not use VG++ grade in addition to Excellent grade as is done by some. Most of the items I am selling will be in the Excellent to Near Mint range, with only a very few lower that are listed due to extreme rarity.
The LP is in excellent condition and is visually very close to near mint. The only visible blemishes are 2-3 very minor barely visible and inaudible scuff/hairlines on Side 2. . The LP has been play graded using headphones after having been cleaned by hand, and plays very nice and quietly. The cover still completely encased in shrink wrap is in excellent condition and would probably be graded near mint except for very slightly crimped lower corner near mouth. All of the other corners are very sharp. The seams and spine are strong with no splits and product information is clearly readable on spine. The front and back are the cover are in excellent to near mint condition with the images sharp with no visible yellowing in the white areas on the cover front and no ring wear on either side.
The LP is being sold without reserve and payment is expected within 3 days of auction close. Return of the LP will only be accepted if the same LP sold and shipped is returned in the same condition .Buyers that behave in a less than ethical manner will be reported and blocked from participation in future auctions. The LP will be separated from the cover when shipped to prevent seam splitting.
