The Beatles ● Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band ● 1967 UK MONO 1st Pressing Vinyl LP ● PMC 7027 ● VG/VG
I have researched this release twice and I believe it is a "Wide Spine" 1st pressing
1st UK MONO pressing. Black and yellow Parlophone label with ''The Gramophone Co.'' in the perimeter and ''Sold in the U.K. Subject To Resale Price Conditions'' below logo.
Gatefold, fully laminated, sleeve with flip-back at inner spread top. Contains a single-sided card insert
Printed and made by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd.
UK Purchase Tax Code KT embossed on B side label
At the very end of the B side the groove is locked and a loop of backwards-recorded nonsense words is continually heard
I think it says "Why I never would be any other" but it has been debated for the last 50+ years
Time to move on some of my collection of the last 50 years otherwise they will just languish in their case, probably never to be played, by me, again.
Over various lockdowns, and now retirement, I have re-played all of my collection and I have graded this as follows:-
VG/VG
The Beatles Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band 1967 PMC 7027 UKVinyl - Displays a lot of fine, light, superficial, hairlines/paper scuffs (hence VG). Played both sides, all through |(Twice!, it's a great album) & there's absolutely minimal, almost zero, crackle/background noise, barely audible even in quiet bits/run in/run out. A really listenable copy! Plays at least VG+, Sticker on A side label.
Cover - Fully Laminated gatefold sleeve, 2 patches of edge wear to top/bottom, spine is quite battered (hence VG), visible but minor corner wear, includes insert but moustache cut out/missing, a good solid cover.
Inner - White paper NOT psychedelic
- Matrix / Runout Side A: XEX 637-1 OL 3
- Matrix / Runout Side B: XEX 638-1 PT 3
