Description
Here is another treasure from the "BUNKER" which houses my personal vinyl collection which was purchased brand new in the 1960s and 1970s. This time I have stuck my finger in and pulled out a plum, namely the "WHITE ALBUM" performed by the BEATLES. This original stereo first pressing was released during 1968 on the groups APPLE label PCS 7067/8 with the matrixes; Disc ONE YEX 709-1YEX710-1 and DISC TWO YEX71I-1 and YEX712-2 The number to the front cover is No. 0479513 UNFORTUNATLEY INSERTS ARE MISSING. BUT RECORDS & COVER IN FANTASTIC CONDITION!!!!
CONDITION: The four vinyl sides each display a super deep gloss ,I can vouch this album has been played no more than a dozen times in all since new (in fact it has remained unplayed for the past thirty years or more). Even when examined beneath a strong light source I failed to see any marks other than those fine wispy lines caused when extracting the record from its protective sleeve, needless to say the audio playback is stunning! All four labels are very clean and tidy with just a few spindle traces preventing them from being perfect. The original plain black paper inner sleeves are in excellent shape having no splits or tears. The fully laminated (inner and outer surfaces) gatefold sleeve has twin top openings with internal fold overs to the left and right vertical sides. None of the laminate has lifted, the only signs of wear are a little record ring wear visible to the front and rear surfaces, the bottom and top left hand corners adjoining the spine show a one & a half inch long pencil thin storage scuff line; the edges to the top edges display a very minor amount of wear.
I have rated the vinyl (BOTH VISUAL AND AUDIO) with an EXCELLENT+ and the inner sleeves plus cover with a straight EXCELLENT. I use the Record Collectors grading system.
