The Best Of The Beach Boys SIGNED Promotional LP RARE 1966 T20856 MONO Capitol.
This is a UK 1966 first Pressing Promotional copy with 7 tracks per side. It is in lovely condition considering it is 56 years old.
I have no provenance for the signatures as I picked this up in a charity shop but there is no doubt in my mind that they are the real deal. The orientation of the signatures over the photos suggest it was signed as they sat around a table. The ink has faded and aged with the cover and the signatures are difficult to read. It just smells and feels right
The clearest signatures are from Bruce Johnston, Carl Wilson and Al Jardine. Mike Loves signature is visible and recognisable but falls over his rather dark image.
The least clear of the signatures I believe is Dennis Wilson. I am no expert but I believe Brian Wilson did not tour with the band in 1966, he pulled out of the tour on the first leg in the USA.
The Vinyl itself is in excellent condition and plays through with barely a crackle. It has a sticker on the B Side stating 'Factory Sample NOT FOR SALE'. This sticker is correct for Capitol Records.
All in all this is a very nice collectors LP, bid with confidence.
