I AM NOT A PROFESSIONAL ALBUM RATER, SO PLEASE REVIEW ALL THE PHOTOS FOR THE QUALITY.  BASED ON WHAT I SEE, THIS LOOKS TO BE IN GOOD CONDITION.  THE COVER IS IN GOOD CONDITION WITH EXPECTED WEAR AND TEAR.  THE LABELS ARE IN REALLY GOOD CONDITION, CLEAN AND LEGIBLE.  THE VINYL IS ALSO IN GOOD CONDITION.  THERE ARE SOME MARKINGS ETCHED ON THE VINYL NEXT TO THE LABEL, SIDE 1 HAS "8648" AND A TRIANGLE WITH "500" NEXT TO IT.  THE OTHER SIDE HAS "8649" AND A TRIANGLE WITH "501" NEXT TO IT.  PLEASE JUST REVIEW THE PHOTOS CAREFULLY AND ASK QUESTIONS AND IF YOU NEED MORE PHOTOS OR INFO, LET ME KNOW.

GENERAL DETAILS:

Little Walter is the best blues harp player there ever was - period, bar none. His style, his tones, his solos were absolutely revolutionary and forever changed the landscape of blues harmonica. The man could make a tiny harmonica sound as big and versatile as a saxophone.

Marion Walter Jacobs' ascent to becoming one of the greatest exponents of the sound known as Chicago Blues began in 1951 when he became a fixed member of Muddy Waters' band. Two years later he rocketed to the top of the charts with the smash hit "Juke." From there, he established his own group and scored more hits like "Sad Hours" and "My Babe." Along with his virtuoso technique and his love of experimenting with echo effects, Little Walter is noted for his clear, unfussed style which occasionally brings back memories of Louis Jordan's saxophone melodies, thereby taking up influences from popular jazz. This album covers the whole spectrum of his playing.

Best of Little Walter is an album by Chicago blues artist Little Walter. First released in 1958, the album contains ten Little Walter songs that appeared in the Top 10 of the Billboard R&B chart from 1952 to 1955,[1] plus two B-sides. The album cover features a black and white photo portrait shot by Grammy award winning photographer Don Bronstein of Little Walter holding/playing a Hohner 64 Chromatic harmonica.

The Best of Little Walter was awarded the Classics of Blues Recording - Albums category in 1991.[2]

The Best of Little Walter ranks #198 in Rolling Stone Magazine's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.[3]
