Description
In this auction:
· “THE BEST OF TOMMY JAMES & THE SHONDELLS” LP by Tommy James & the Shondells
· This is Roulette Records SR42040.
· This LP is an ORIGINAL PRESSING that was released in 1969. We know this because the original 1969 pressing was issued in a UNIPAK (gatefold cover that must be opened to remove the record).
· Tommy James has always been an artist that I think has been grossly underrated. This LP definitely has his BEST HIT TUNES on it up to the release date of this LP in 1969 such as “Crystal Blue Persuasion”, “Crimson and Clover”, “Mony Mony”, “I Think We’re Alone Now”, “Sweet Cherry Wine”, “Hanky Panky”, “Ball Of Fire”, “Sugar On Sunday”, “Mirage”, and “Baby Baby”.
· This LP is in MINT STILL SEALED CONDITION in its ORIGINAL SHRINK WRAP! There is a small tear in the shrink wrap at the bottom center area. There is also light/slight wear on the bottom left corner at the base of the spine and bottom right corner where the shrink wrap is worn through. The shrink wrap has “breathe” holes. THERE IS NO BAR CODE ON THE COVER.
· The VINYL inside is, of course, MINT and UNPLAYED.
· The COVER would have to be graded VERY STRONG VG+. (Only light/slight wear on the bottom left corner at the base of the spine and bottom right corner where the shrink wrap is worn through keep me from grading the cover Near Mint.) There is a “Southeastern” store sticker on the shrink wrap.
FYI: I use Goldmine Grading Standards (P for Poor, F for Fair, G for Good, G+ for Good Plus, VG for Very Good, VG+ for Very Good Plus, NM for Near Mint, M for Mint) to VISUALLY GRADE this LP, so please know the descriptions of these grades before bidding.
