Description
This is the Beatles album The Big Beat of the Beatles. This is the rare South Africa only release on the old “gold” style Parlophone label. Cat.no. PMCJ 64.
The cover is very similar to the US LP The Beatles Second Album but with a different track listing.
The record is in really nice condition, the vinyl surfaces have a few wispy lines on them but nothing deep or feelable, it plays lovely with a little background noise especially in the quieter moments and in between tracks. There are no skips or sticks.
The labels are really nice too with no writing or stickers/glue, there are a few spindle trails.
The Inner is the correct poly shaped version.
The flimsy constructed cover has survived quite well. The front fully laminated panel still retains its deep shine, there is a crease caused by the record near the opening edge. The rear unlaminated panel has some age related marks but the flaps are fully intact. There is a small name top left but there are no tears etc just a little wear to the opening edge. The spine is fully readable.
Mayrix nos are xpeax 167/8.
Overall a highly desirable rare World Beatles record at a good price.
