Description
The Big Beat of the Beatles PMCJ 64 very rare South African only issue from 1964.
As you can see from the pics this cover was based on the UK export/US Second album but with different tracks.
The sleeve is in reasonable condition, the front panel still retaining its deep laminated shine but there are some edge creases, the rear being unlaminated has some marks etc. and sticker residue however all flipbacks are intact and there are no missing pieces.
I have just replayed the disc and can report that it plays remarkably well, there are no skips or jumps etc. There are some pops etc. during playback but these don't intrude into the listening pleasure, the sound is quite lush. There is some hissing etc. in between tracks but nothing to worry about and this disappears once the fabs start playing.
As can be seen, the labels replicate the UK black/gold versions and are in lovely condition with just a slight mark on side 2 which can only be seen when tilted to the light.

To sum up, a very rare Beatles LP not to be missed, I am only selling as I have been lucky to upgrade slightly.
