Description
Full-length LP from John Zorn titled "The Big Gundown: John Zorn Plays The Music Of Ennio Morricone" released by Nonesuch/Icon Records (79139-1) in 1986. Downtown New York alto sax player and art-damaged jazz composer received critical acclaim and attention with his release of this album. Features 10 tracks that are radical reworkings of soundtrack themes from Italian film composer Ennio Morricone. Intriguing, messed-up stuff played by a boatload of jazz and rock eccentrics.
