The Black Crowes RARE 2009 Before the Frost/Until the Freeze Double LP superb

Well here it is, The Black Crowes with their (what now looks for sure to be their swan song) last and personally I think one of their greatest LPs - 'Before the Frost, Until the Freeze' in all it's Double vinyl Gatefold, which rightly so has already become some what of a rare Holy Grail for Crowes fans since it's release back in 2009 on Silver Arrow and has now been deleted for some time. The Gatefold sleeve is in excellent condition overall, with both vinyl records having only been played a couple of times each - I think it would be fair to say you will be getting a lovely copy here.
The reviews all agreed this was a classic: Before the Frost...Until the Freeze received generally favorable reviews upon its release, receiving a 75/100 critic score and a 9/10 user score on Metacritic.[3] Paste noted the album "captures the best aspects of one of rock’s finest eras: a balance of structured songwriting and loose grooves, catchy choruses and meandering solos, hard rocking songs and easy-going attitude,"[8] while All Music Guide note that the band "wear their years proudly on this terrific album, sounding like the veteran roadhounds they've always aspired to be."[4] Many critics also noted the renewed stylistic approach of the band on Before the Frost..., Uncut calling the album "an inspired move"[13] and The Record Review commenting that the record "feels right, as if this is exactly the record that they needed to make at this point, both to separate from their musical past as well as to open up the future."[14]
The beautiful artwork and tasty Spring Green vinyl (For Before the Frost) and winter White (for Until the Freeze) completes the look, with another strong selling point in that it has a unique vinyl run order that flows soooo much better than the CD version - incorporating ALL the tracks on lovely vinyl (yes it does sound stunning) - which again is great, as the CD only physically included some of these tracks - the others only being available on download only - which always bugged the hell out of me - hence the greatness of having all the songs on this vinyl.

I'll be very sad to see this one go (but travel plans means I'm having a brutal clean out) - how many have you seen lately listed? No I haven't either, apart from one a while back that cleared the £250.00 mark - seems to be a sound investment this one for any collectors out there, especially now the Crowes have called it a day - I just want it go to a good home/Crowes fan.
This double record has been stored lovingly and this item is only being sold as I'm having to thin right out my whole collection (see other listings for more great collectable CDs and Vinyl) due to my emigration plans - I can only take so much - so I've got some great music that needs some good new homes.
