M- Might have a slight paper scuff or hairline. Plays with no noise that is due to visible imperfections. The highest grade that I use.
Very Good++ (Vg++) Very clean records. Well taken care of. Some light scuffs and hairlines. A few light marks. Plays extremely well.
Very Good+ (Vg+) Well taken care of. A few scuffs, possibly a few light scratches and marks. Minimum of distracting noise.
Very Good (Vg) Not especially well taken care of, but not abused either. Light scratches, scuffs and marks. Plays with some background noise but it's still enjoyable and collectible. Some gloss, not likely kept in a sleeve
Very Good- (Vg-) Light scratches, scuffs and marks, which are more numerous than Vg. A bit more noise. Not much gloss.
Good (G) Still plays through without skips or jumps. Noise approaching, but still below level of music. Probably has seen some floor time and I don't mean the dance floor.
