The Blue Water Folk - FHR O13S UK folk LP record. 1970. Folk Heritage Recordings.
I am selling this LP on behalf of my father. Both he and my late mother come from Lancashire and were great fans of folk music back in the 1960’s and 1970's. My Dad bought this record directly from the band after a performance. I'm no expert on either vinyl or folk music but my online research leads me to believe it is a rare and sought after title that was produced only in very limited numbers and was mainly sold by the band at their gigs in small folk clubs. Apparently it is so scarce that not even members of the band have a copy anymore.
As I said I am no expert, either on collecting or grading the condition of vinyl records. I have endeavoured to accurately show in the photographs the condition of the record and it’s inner and outer sleeves. I purposefully exposed some of the photos to, as best as possible, show the surface of the vinyl; dust, possible fingerprints (?) and all. As I don’t have the correct cleaning cloths I haven’t attempted to clean the record’s surface. To my certain knowledge my parents didn’t have a working record player after the early to mid 1980’s so, since then this record has been stored along with all their others in a record storage case in a cupboard.
All the details I provide are to the best of my knowledge. If you need further specific information I’ll do my very best to provide it if I can, please just let me know.
The record comes from a smoke free home. It will be conscientiously packed, wrapped in bubble wrap and shipped in a corrugated card box. This outer shipper will then be securely taped.
I shall be using a Royal Mail 48 hour tracked with signature service so please note that someone will need to be present to sign for the parcel.
