ROCKABILLY COLLECTORS TAKE NOTE!

Here is a copy of one of the rarest Rockabilly 45's to date - "Baby You Just Wait" b/w "Jeannie" by The Broughams on Pentagon Records.

Look this up in any price guide - I've tried dozens and it's not mentioned anywhere. These same songs were done by The Spirals on Indigo Records (#500), whose 45 books from $300 to $600. Those tracks were put on a Raging Teens compilation on Norton Records.

This single contains different (read: slower) versions of those two tracks. If you haven't heard the Spirals version, it's amazing rockabilly from the 1950's with two great guitar breaks.

I was able to obtain this 45 from the guitar player of both bands, The Spirals and The Broughams. I'm sure it's one of the only copies in circulation. I recently sold one on ebay for $800.

Vinyl is an unplayed NM stock copy, labels are NM.

A little added information about the record, as recently discovered -

This band was a high school band, the single being released in 1957 which was junior year for most of the members. Approximately 300 were pressed, most of which got thrown away when the band didn't like the sound. A year later, they managed to rerecord the tracks for Indigo Records in Boston and a company executive changed the name to The Spirals.

So this record predates the Spirals and is far more rare.
