Hello and welcome to my auction for this iconic Album by one of the late great fathers of early Rock n Roll The Buddy Holly.

The Buddy Holly Story volume 1

This is a fantastic Collection of all of buddy’s best tracks including Peggy Sue, maybe baby, Everyday,Rave on and the timeless That’ll be the day to name but a few.

This is an original pressing from 1958 on The Coral Records label.

This album is a MONO pressing

The vinyl:

This record is pressed on thick vintage vinyl cut with deep mono grooves.

The record is still quite shiny with lots of light surface marks and some that you can feel however this plays back beautifully with some surface noise throughout that is mostly noticeable on run in grooves and quieter passages and in no way hinders the enjoyment of the music

The music sounds fresh strong and punchy I really enjoyed play testing this Buddy sounds fantastic.

The labels are both clean sharp looking with a few minor nibbles that is to be expected from a album of this age please see pictures.

This album has been fully play tested and is free from skips and sticks

This album is free from distortion and any groove hiss

The album cover is in great condition with no rips or seam splits pen or damage just some age related wear and a few creases (see pictures)The unlamented back cover is also nice and clean for its age.

All in all a fantastic playing copy of this timeless original classic 58 years old and sounding fantastic
