Kurzbeschreibung: Obwohl ihr Erfolg nur relativ kurzlebig war, sah man die Band aus Los Angeles Mitte der 1960er auf Augenhöhe etwa mit The Beatles, Rolling Stones oder Beach Boys. Bevor jedoch Jim (Roger) McGuinn, David Crosby, Gene Clark, Chris Hillman und Michael Clarke 1964 bei Columbia Records unterzeichneten und im Jahre darauf ihren Welthit Mr. Tambourine Man landeten, nahm Manager Jim Dickson die Band ins Studio, um ihren unverkennbaren Sound zu perfektionieren.

Die vorliegende Doppel CD enthält Aufnahmen, die sie in den World Pacific Studios machten, darunter Demoversionen von Mr. Tambourine Man, McGuinn und Clarks Song You Showed Me (später ein Hit für The Turtles), I Knew I'd Want You und She Has A Way. Es gab 2006 bereits eine Veröffentlichung dieser Aufnahmen auf Sundazed Records. Was die vorliegende Doppel CD jedoch noch interessanter macht, sind 20 Minuten bislang unveröffentlichten Materials, welches Jim Dickson erst vor kurzem entdeckt hat. Insgesamt handelt es sich hier also um 48 Tracks!
