Description

An original CBS UK 1st MONO press from 1967. Matrix A1/B1. Please note the labels are textured and the speed is given in large font "33". The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original mono cover printed by E J Day. We also have the original CBS advertising inner sleeve [correct sleeves on show]. So, we're 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In lovely condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of light marks, and a couple of superficial trails - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. A super rendition in everyway - the mono cut is absolutely fantastic. With a copy like this you will be capable of digging deep into the mix - the transparency is so good.....Minimal background observable - it plays very clean throughout these, often, very fussy acoustic tracks. At worst a few crackles in a one isolated spot per side [e.g. Words & Thoughts]. Loving it!
Cover (Vg) Not up to the standard of the vinyl, but more than acceptable. A touch of ageing toward the spine edge on the front. The rear has tanned a little - and a blemish over toward the spine edge. Minimal edge wear and firm openings. The text on the spine is still mostly legible - but it is a bit grubby in places. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex) No splits and there's precious little ageing.
