The Cardigans - The World According To... 7" EP
FLAT 1997 (cardies2), SWEDEN?
Sleeve EX, some minor creases / Vinyl EX

This is the very hard to find 7" of the first ever recordings from THE CARDIGANS, limited to 300 copies only (numbered, this is 128/300). Apparently this was their second demo, "The World According To...", recorded late 1992 when the band had just started.
I believe this EP was released sometime around the "Lovefool" era, and it dffers quite a lot from the usual sound of the band. This is really fantastic twee anorak guitarpop á la Sarah Records, The Sundays etc!
Also there is a male vocalist on some of the tracks. My guess is that this is guitarist Peter Svensson singing - as the voice is similar to the one on his PAUS side project.

Of the tracks on this EP - only "Rise & Shine" was later re-recorded and released. All the other three tracks are exclusive and were never re-recorded. I don't think this was an official release.
