Description
Up for your consideration here is a promotional poster for the original US release of the first Clash album. The first Clash LP was released in 1977 in the UK, but it didn't get released until 1979 in the US (and then with a totally different track listing). This is a very rare promotional poster and very few have survived. One recently sold at auction for over $800 ( you can find it by Googling "Bonhams lot 372 clash poster" ) and that one is riddled with pinholes. This one has a bit of creasing in lower right corner and is showing a bit of "rippling" on the left hand side that is accentuated by the sidelighting and my lack of photography skills, but after a proper mounting that will completely disappear. I bought this recently from a local record shop who had just bought it from a guy who worked at a record store in the early 80s. Luckily for me, the local shop owner can't stand the Clash so he sold it to my pretty cheap. Shipping is $8 for Priority mail service in the US or $30 anywhere else in the world.
