Description

Another classic, original first pressing album is being offered to collectors. My copy of “London Calling” by The Clash has been looked after by me over the last forty five years and having been stored correctly and having played the album only rarely it is still in near mint condition. My intention is to always provide a full and honest assessment for any album I offer for sale so that buyer and seller are fully aware of what is on offer.


Having carried out my usual research I can confirm that this classic double album is a UK first pressing as the following details will confirm. Both albums are in superb condition and, having played graded them on my Rega P10, I can confirm there are no scratches, pops or clicks and very little surface noise between tracks, therefore I have assessed them as EX to NM. The audio is vibrant and lively. The lyric sheets are fully intact with only the expected signs of aging. The inner sleeves have been replaced with modern, protective sleeves to look after the vinyl.

“Train in Vain” is only listed in etching on Side 4, not listed on label/sleeve. First release pressing came with two inserts. Photos all explained at various venues. Original sound recording made by CBS Records and durations were timed by hand.
