Description
This is a RARE ORIGINAL 1961 MGM RECORDS U.S. MONO LP titled 'The Conway Twitty Touch' containing twelve tracks from the time when Conway Twitty was transitioning from rock-n-roll and rockabilly to a more traditional country style, this album contains tracks in both styles. It is MGM Records U.S. catalog number E 3943, black MGM labels,. Record comes packaged inside the gatefold cover in its original MGM Records stock inner sleeve.
This album contains Conway's great 'Mystery Train' soundalike rockabilly tune 'Long Black Train', and also the theme song from the movie 'Platinum High School' in which Conway had an acting role.

Condition of record is a SOLID NM with no visible surface marks. Condition of cover is G/VG with a number of flaws - There are splits in the top and bottom edges which I have carefully and neatly repaired with clear tape, back cover has writing in black marker near its upper left corner, cover also has some ring and contact wear and a good amount of wear along the edges and on the corners.
