Description
1st pressings of the debut and sophomore albums by the late, great Ric Ocasek and his innovative and immensely talented band The Cars. Both bear the Sterling stamp and RTB etching in the deadwax. Both are in VERY GOOD condition with light scuffing on both sides, but nothing feelable. They are still quite lustrous despite their age. Both play continuously without anomalies or interruptions. The Cars has the original inner paper sleeve with rare photos, only the front has separated from the back, so it's like two posters now. The Cars outer sleeve still has the hype sticker! It shows scuffing and some creasing, along with ring wear. No splits or tears. A touch of rub wear at the corners. Candy-O's outer sleeve (inner sleeve is generic white) shows chipping along the spine, sticker residue on the tire of the cheesecake Vargas artwork; some scuffing, corner wear and creasing is evident. There's a small tear backside bottom left. You'll also see some discoloration and indentations on the back cover if you look really hard.
