Description
- Very close to mint New Jazz 1959 deep groove purple label monaural original LP “The Cats” (New Jazz 8217, RVG in dead wax).
- The Cats are: John Coltrane (tenor sax), Idrees Sulieman (trumpet), Tommy Flanagan (piano), Kenny Burrell (guitar), Doug Watkins (bass) and Louis Hayes (drums).
- The tracklist is: Minor Mishap/How Long Has This Been Going On/Eclypso/Solacium/Tommy’s Time.
- I do not rate opened LPs as mint but I’m tempted with this one, so I‘ll rate it as mint minus. I’m unable to see ANY marks on the vinyl. There is some very minor occasional surface noise I hesitate to even mention. The glossy cover is also near mint with no splits, tears or cutouts. The original price is written in pencil on one back corner and a previous owners name is stamped on the back cover. None of this interferes with the graphics or excellent liner notes.
