Description
Original 1956 Gone Records 10 inch 78 rpm pressing of The Channels “That’s My Desire” backed with “Stay As You Are.”
This is the black label Gone 5012 first issue. Gone was a smaller New York independent label and far less common than the large national Atlantic pressings of the era. The Channels remain one of the defining vocal harmony groups of mid 1950s New York doo wop, and this title carries strong collector recognition.
NOTE: Please consider that your audio equipment blows mine away and the record will invariably sound better on your system. Also, I do not have the ability to professionally clean records and give one static brush before ONE sampling, then back into the sleeve and jacket. My goal is to give you all you need for transparent purchasing experience.
This is a true 10-inch shellac 78 rpm pressing, not a 45 and not a later reissue.
A solid, collector grade copy of a respected Gone Records vocal group release.
