Description

Fantastic 2-sided Surf/Hot Rod/Garage Instrumentals from 1965 by this group. Both songs are credited to "The Chessmen" (One of many groups with that name). The song "Glory be" though is a souped Surf version of, believe it or not, "Dixie"!! Both songs feature heavy bass & drums with a heavy reverb, twangy lead guitar, a cross between Duane Eddy and Dick Dale. There is also a bit of saxophone on the "Glory" side. All in all, a great 2-sided raw Surf/Hot Rod single. Record: VG+, some light marks both sides that do not in any way interfere with the playability of the record, no skips, no repeats. Label:  Ex., both sides clean (See Pics). This is an "Audition" copy, in other words it's a Promo.
