Tuesday 29th January 1980 & vintage Clash pin badge I (think) got from the same gig!
I bought the Clash debut album on day of release from Discount Records in Keighley, and
posted the red sticker on album, along with coupon printed in the NME that week and received this freebie!

Vinyl - EXCELLENT.
Sleeve - In excellent condition, has small tear about 5mm long at top. When I bought my singles in the
seventies, I immediatly placed the record in a protective polythene / cardboard wallet, and kept
all the covers separate in a A4 file, so sleeve can be described as mint!
The pictures were taken by me, and is of the actual item for sale - it is not copied from other sources!

Details.
The EP single 7" vinyl Capital Radio, recorded on April 1, 1977, was produced by Mickey Foote and
engineered by Simon Humphrey.
Lyrically, the song is an attack on the music policy of what was (at the time) London's only
legal commercial music radio station, which played mainstream chart hits and little if any punk.
It namechecks the station's then Head of Music, Aidan Day - "He picks all the hits they play/to keep
you in your place all day".
The song ends with a parody of one of Capital's actual jingles of the period; the band replaces the
lyric "in tune with London" with "in tune with nothing".
