Description

The Clash London Calling Double LP- Epic E236328. Sterling.

From my personal collection, this is a first U.S pressing from 1980 indicated by TI ( Terre Haute, Indiana ) etched on the run out groove of side A. There is some confusion about when this album was released in the U..S. It was first released in the U.K. in the fall of 1979. The first version to hit the states in late 1979 was in cassette format, catalogue # E2T36328 according to Discogs. It was released on vinyl in the U.S. in early 1980 under catalogue # E236328.

The cover is in excellent condition with a few minor creases on the lower left of the back. The spine is very good. The album has been stored in an included polypropylene sleeve.

The records are in excellent condition with one tiny mark at the beginning of Spanish Bombs which has no effect on play. Some minor scuffing that also does not effect play. Photo’s are of each side. All four sides have been play tested and run through clean with no skips, scratches or pops. Very quiet. Maybe some light crackling between songs, usually static or due to age. Tear Down The Walls is clearly etched in the run out grooves , one word per side, as well as “ sterling “

Train in Vain is the last song on side four although not listed on the label or anywhere else on the album. The song was included at the last minute after production of the labels, jacket and sleeves had already begun.

The records have been stored in Mobile Fidelity anti static/scratch sleeves. ( Included ). The original sleeves are in excellent condition and included.

Unfortunately I do not accept returns. Unscrupulous people in the past have tried to return their skipping , scratched copy of a record in place of one of my good copies or make a digital copy then intentionally scratch the record and try to return it. I will however work with you if you feel the album is not as described.

Shipping via media mail in the lower 48 in sturdy mailer with mailer pad and bubble wrap.
