Description
This is a pre-release promo copy of The Clash's 1978 single '(White Man) in Hammersmith Palais' on CBS and it's S CBS 6383.
It's a green die cut sleeve with 'THE CLASH' printed in top left of front cover.
Side A of the vinyl has the 'smoking gun' image with a large 'A' to the right right of the gun.

Side B has a large 'A' over the spindle hole with 'RELEASE DATE: 16th June 1978' printed above it.
Under the spindle it's printed 'PROMOTION COPY - NOT FOR SALE'

The green sleeve is in very good condition with a very minor fold at the top. The vinyl looks to be in very good condition. There are no marks on the vinyl, but I can se one mark on the 'B' side spindle hole which suggests it must have been played.
Please note that I am not a dealer or a record collector. The items I am selling are all from the extensive collection of my late brother, John Shaw.
He was a great music enthusiast, working for both BBC and commercial radio stations in the East Midlands from 1980 until 2013 presenting various music shows, mostly folk and rock.
During this period he interviewed many bands and artists in Nottingham, Derby and Leicester and usually had them sign copies of the albums they were promoting at the time. He was also sent many promotional, DJ-only and white-label pressings direct from the record companies, such as this. Although it's from 1978, I suspect it was lying around and he simply trousered it.
Sadly my brother passed away in November 2013, so I am slowly disposing of his extensive record collection.
