Description
Offered for sale is this 1979 Clash EP with the band's autographs in the centre label. I got this signed in 1982 when The Clash played two nights at the Bristol Locarno ballroom. The band members were Paul Simonon (Bass), Mick Jones (Lead guitar), Terry Chimes (Drums) and the late Joe Strummer (Rhythm guitar). The record itself does not play well and the cover is long gone. This disc deserves to be framed and mounted on a wall. I've included a photo of one of my ticket stubs from the night in question as proof of attendance. The band also autographed the ticket stub but this is not included in this sale. Just the autographed record is for sale here. I actually bought this EP on the morning of the concert along with Penny Smith's photographic book 'The Clash Before and After', both of which the band signed when they were walking about killing time near The Waterfront Tavern. The ticket stubs were signed in the Ballroom itself, following the concert. Other Clash gigs that I attended include Cardiff Sophia Gardens in 1980, the Lyceum ballroom London in 1981 and the Guildhall Portsmouth in 1982 .
