The first track is Joe singing King of the Road, quite a good solo version actually. The second is titled Blonde Rock and Roll. Mick Jones and a female vocalist figure and I think it is Ellen Foley. Micks girlfriend around 81/82.
Tracks 3 and 5 are outakes of White Riot and 1977. Both are a lot crunchier and quicker than any other versions and are probably the best recorded variations of these songs. These may originate from the promo film and audio shoot on 26 April 77 from where Londons Burning was lifted for the remote Control b-side.
Track 4 is Know your Rights previously available on Combat Rock outakes BUT track 6, Overpowered by Funk Instrumental is superb and which is NOT on the Combat Rock outakes boot. It is the the best version of this song in my view.
Track 7 is Louie Louie and probably dates to the Sandinista outakes of 1980. Curiously the Buzzcocks on the White Riot Tour had begun playing Louie Louie in the encore.
Again a very good sound to it.Track 8 is the slowest version of Garageland ever done, part of the Rude Boy outakes but not found anywhere else.
Track 9 is the rare House of the JuJu Queen demo sung by Joe Strummer. It has appeared elsewhere previously though not readily.
Track 10 is unusual in that it is a FM recording of of a Boston radio Broadcast whereby the Clash choose to play Village People's YMCA and then on air proceed to sing along to it with some added dialog.
