THE COACHMEN. LAND OF OLDEN/DRAMBUIE RARE 1966 NY GARAGE PSYCH 45 PRIVATE PRESSING.

THIS 45 RPM WAS PURCHASED DIRECTLY FROM A HOME IN PENFIELD, NY(WHERE THE BAND IS FROM). IT WAS FOUND AMONGST APPX. 300 LPS AND SINGLES. AFTER DOING SOME RESEARCH I SAW THAT THIS PIECE WAS A RARE GARAGE ROCK 45 RPM. THERE IS VERY MINOR SURFACE WEAR ON THE VINYL. LABEL IS IN GREAT SHAPE. PLEASE CHECK THE PIX, I AM NOT A RECORD GRADER BUT HAVE SOLD MANY LPS/45S. PLEASE CHECK MY FEEDBACK, CUSTOMER SATISFACTION IS MY MAIN CONCERN. Description PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING - THANK YOU This item is a rare 45 rpm record released in 1966 by The Coachmen containing the songs ‘Land Of Olden’ b/w ‘Drambuie’. This group was from a suburb (Penfield) in Rochester, New York and this record was distributed locally in limited quantities. There is no record label listed and record number is 22047.

 

A real crude, moody two sider from Rochester. The Coachmen were led by a guy named Dick Leschorn who was the guitarist on these tracks and wrote the classic “Drambuie”. Dick also played with Rochester legends The Quirks who unfortunately had no official releases (BUT there are 3 or 4 songs from the Fine Records archives floating around!), and later formed a local group called Old Salt who were an extremely popular and successful act in the 70’s. Dick is now a solo artist.
