Of note, John Lennon agreed to take part in the concert.  Harrison stipulated that John would have to appear
without Yoko.  Surprisingly, Lennon agreed.  However,  this resulted in a row between John and Yoko.  Two
days before the concert Lennon backed out.  Paul McCartney refused to participate from the beginning due to the
bitter feelings over the legal fights following The Beatles' breakup.

Also interesting was the fact that Eric Clapton was suffering from heroin withdrawal.  He was in such a fragile
condition that it was uncertain whether he could perform.  Bob Dylan was also a near no-show due to a severe case
of performance anxiety.  Harrison was unsure of Dylan's participation  until he actually walked onto the stage.  George, always
shy, was as nervous as Dylan.  He had never fronted such a band before, especially since it would be in front of a sold out crowd in
the premier venue in America, Madison Square Garden.  Harrison had not performed live (With The Beatles) in five years. 

They all pulled it off flawlessly. It set the template for the many supergroup aid concerts that followed.

The vinyl is in NM play tested condition.  Exceptionally clean.  All six sides were play tested thoroughly.
The triple LP includes a 63 page concert booklet of which I included a few photos.  It is in NM condition as well.
The box has split corners which is pretty typical of this set.  They can be repaired but I'll leave that to the buyer's discretion.

Almost all records sold on ebay are rated visually. While this is a useful process for obvious flaws, such as scratches and rubs, it fails to detect hidden sound problems. What cannot be seen with the eye are tiny particles of dust and grit that are often lodged deep in the groove. These particles cause what is called 'crackle' which sounds somewhat like the sound frying bacon makes while cooking. Normal cleaning methods will not dislodge the grit that causes this problem. The only way then to accurately rate record quality, simply put, is to play it. I am a low volume seller and take the time to thoroughly test the sound quality of records. All records up for sale are play tested. I strive for accurate description of sound quality. Any record with excessive background noise is rejected and not offered for sale.

All records are packaged in a commercial record mailer. Records are removed from the cover before packing to prevent seam splits during mailing. In the case of a single album, the record and cover are placed in a plastic sleeve. They are protected by the ample use of bubble wrap. If more than one album is won, the albums and records are tightly wrapped in cellophane to prevent shifting and are also protected by bubble wrap. The outside of the package is clearly stamped as 'FRAGILE' and 'DO NOT BEND'

You may return any album that does not play to your satisfaction. However, please email me with any problems you have in this regard before return. All albums must be returned in the time alloted and in the same condition and manner as they were shipped. This applies to individual Lps and lots. However, you may not split up lots for a partial refund. I will reimburse your purchase price and original mailing cost. Return mailing cost is the responsibility of the customer. I package records with great care and ship with delivery confirmation. I have shipped thousands of records without breakage or loss and the USPS does a great job with delivery
