PLEASE NOTE: I WILL ONLY GRADE AN OPENED LP NEAR MINT (NM) IF I CAN GUARANTEE IT HAS NEVER BEEN PLAYED (i.e. I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER).  OTHERWISE, NEAR MINT MINUS (NM-) IS THE ABSOLUTE HIGHEST GRADE I WILL ASSIGN AN OPENED LP.

Off-the-charts rare double sided funk beast!  There is not even a Discogs entry for this one!  Completely absent from the tiny sought-after LanticGold catalog (of which there are a grand total of four releases!)  Funky Groove is exactly what it says it is.  Not one, not two, but three eye-watering solos (guitar, hammond B-3 and sax, in that order) that would make even the most hardened funk collector wet their pants.  And the horn stabs?  Holy shit.  I have been collecting funk and soul for over 40 years and have a gazillion compilations featuring the genres' (supposedly) rarest 45s and barely a quarter of them are this hard hitting and FUNKY.  Crisp sounding, stellar production, unlike most "rare" funk 45s that sound like they were recorded in someone's closet.  Need Money has a more northern, popcorn feel and is equally goosebump-inducing and FUNKY.  Vinyl is VG- visually only with some light surface scratches, none of which can be felt.  Plays FANTASTICALLY.  This is the kind of ultra obscure 45 you can impress your know-it-all friends with.  Listen on Soundcloud - https://soundcloud.com/user-536209246/the-continentals-need-money & https://soundcloud.com/user-536209246/the-continentals-funky-groove
