The vinyl is definitely a first pressing, definitely perfectly clean. Looks like it was hardly (if ever) played. Under two light sources going simultaneously, there isn't the first scratch to the grooves. The playback is bold, just as a new piece of vinyl should sound. There is definitely a little crackle, but it is confined to the lead-in lip and the trail-off grooves, and it is very minor at that. Once the music gets going, there are little to no pops, tics or static to be heard. A good VPI cleaning will revive the vinyl to its previous glory and youth. Impressive, near mint vinyl.
The labels are super-clean. There is one light spindle mark to each side. But there is positively NO dirt and NO wear on either label. Looks and smells as it did when the album was first opened in 1983.
The cover has been beautifully preserved in the plastic wrap. With the exception of some wear down the mouth of the back cover, overall, the cover looks brand new. It looks as thought the original owner must have used scissors to cut the plastic. There's some light loss of slick down the mouth of the back cover, and the plastic has some loose flaps or tears, where the owner ripped into the plastic wrap. Not too bad, though. The plastic wrap has a very tiny spot of black goop at the bottom left. Not too bad either, just figured I should mention it. Original "3D" hype sticker is still affixed to the front cover.
The 3D cardboard inner/poster is included as well. It is for the most part, still in nice condition. However, there are some finger divots present at the top and bottom, and there is one corner with a minor push-in. Apart from that, it retains its new smoothness. 3D glasses are the original ones that came with the record. These are not a pair that was found in a cereal box or recent kiddie DVD. The glasses are in excellent condition, free from fingerprints, dirt or crease wear of any kind. I've included a generic white inner sleeve to conserve the condition of the 3D cardboard inner.
This copy is the best one I've ever seen. You'll screech like hell when you see it. Sell yours to offset your cost, and keep this one!
