Description

The Cramps 'Surfin' Bird' b/w 'The Way I Walk' 1978 red/orange rear cover

Rare opportunity to acquire this near mint first edition copy of The Cramps' Alex Chilton-produced debut 7" single on Vengeance Records. Bought new in 1978 by Julian Cope from Liverpool's Probe Records, the disc was immediately stored in a thick clear polythene cover, ensuring that the item has remained entirely new looking, clean and fresh and no traces of aging. Even ringwear from decades of storage is virtually absent.  Both sides of the disc have just been played through and both sound wonderful. There is a single pop one minute from the end of 'Surfin' Bird', while 'The Way I Walk' exhibits no flaws at all. Many thanks for looking.
