If you were around in the mid-1960s, maybe you’ll remember THE CRITTERS!
In this auction:

This is Kapp Records KL - 1485.

The LP was released in 1966.

It is a MONO (monaural) PRESSING.

This is a VERY UNCOMMON WHITE LABEL PROMOTIONAL COPY OF THIS LP.

As you probably know, PROMOTIONAL RECORDS were ONLY released by record companies to the radio stations and DJs for on-air play, to department stores for in-store play and to VIPs in the music industry. They were produced in very small/limited quantities, and they were NOT available for sale to the general public; therefore, they are typically valued more by vinyl collectors. Certain promotional records are particularly hard-to-find and have become highly sought after by collectors and especially by the fans of certain recording artists and/or bands.

The title of this, the band’s first LP, is based on the recognition of the band’s hit single “Younger Girl”.

The COVER is in NICE VG CONDITION with light overall wear. The cover would be graded in VG+ condition were it not for some aging/foxing and water stains on the rear cover slick. There are NO seam splits, NO writing, NO ring wear, NO flaking and NO tears on this cover. There is a 3 ½ -inch light vertical wrinkle on the front cover slick under the word “GONE” that is a manufacturing/production defect. As you can see, the FRONT COVER LOOKS VERY NICE regardless.

“PROMOTIONAL COPY NOT FOR SALE” in block letters is stamped in blue ink at the lower left corner of the rear cover.

The VINYL is in NICE VG+ CONDITION with several very light/slight surface hairlines/scuffs, and NONE ARE “FEEL-ABLE”. The vinyl has LOTS OF GLOSS!

Both WHITE LABELS have “PROMOTIONAL RECORD” printed on them. The promotional labels are CLEAN and WHITE!
