Description
Hi and welcome to my auction item. I'm back with a further batch of vinyl - some of it rare and collectible. I aim to give an honest description of each item and grade the condition as accurately as possible.
I'll always add a realistic starting price (or fixed price, where Buy It Now) based on the value or rarity of the record. I normally post to the UK only (overseas ebayers are welcome to buy, but please contact me to agree shipping costs and service before bidding). I aim to post out the first working day after payment is received.
I'm back digging into my box of Motown and Northern Soul oldies for another set of collectible gems, most of which are duplicates in my collection ready to find new homes. There are more to follow so do check back at my listings frequently as you may find something else to your taste.
Here's another one with a little bit of history to go with it. Issued in 1975, here is a fantastic Northern Soul 45 from Pye Records short lived UK subsidiary Right On! Records, the brainchild of Blues & Soul writer and Motown/Northern Soul champion Dave Godin. This was the first release on Right On! with catalogue number RO 101, by The Crow "Your Autumn Of Tomorrow" with "Uncle Funk" on the flip. A bit like Marmite this one; you'll either love it, or you won't get it!
Record in very good condition with shiny vinyl, plays very well. Labels are clean with no writing or stickers; 45 comes in original Right On! company sleeve, showing some creasing and minor tears but otherwise good for its age. Copies of original Pye Records publicity material (two DJ press releases co-written by the late and legendary Soul writer Dave Godin and an A4 sized advert - slight edge damage) from 1975 included in purchase. I was fortunate enough to receive promo records from Pye back in the 70's and 80's so I can assure potential buyers that this is a copy of genuine company material.
Reasonable starting price for this package, so an early bid could be a winner. Will be sent out 2nd class signed for postal service to the UK. I have other records to be listed in the coming weeks, some of which will have either original or copies of authentic publicity material and DJ newsletters.
Any questions, please send me an email and I'll respond as soon as possible. Thanks for looking and good luck with your bids.
