Description
The Cure Japanese Whispers Vinyl LP 1983 SRC First Press 9 25076-1
This is the first US release of The Cure - Japanese Whispers (Compilation) on Sire Records from 1983. Vinyl is in good condition. Some hairline scratches, and some scuffs as highlighted in my photos. Listened to entire album. Plays great. No skips, hangs, warps, or repeats.
** Note: There is a small, deeper scratch, that invokes a “click-pop” for approx the last 30 seconds of the last track on side B. I have circled the scratch in the close up photo. **
Record is in original poly sleeve. Outer jacket has the original clear plastic shrink. Shrink is torn on the back cover. Some corner bump wear, and a few wrinkles on lower bottom right corner sleeve as shown in close up photo. This record has been stored in a record crate since the mid 1980’s.

SRC pressing has NO perimeter text on bottom of labels and "E A S T" is stamped/embossed around A side spindle hole.

I use a ring light to highlight any noticeable scuffs or scratches in my vinyl auctions. Also helps to better highlight the runout etchings, which will indicate the exact version of the release.
I listen to all the albums prior to auction and will reference any jumps, skips, warps, repeats, etc. Or anything that will effect play in my listing. Will also always indicate any scratches that are deep enough to cause a noticeable click or pop sound.
I also don’t use any disc cleaning or disc washing system. So any residual dust or smudges have not been removed.
With that being said, I want to be as clear and honest to the exact condition of each listing, and depict any imperfections as well as I can with the ring light.
Feel free to contact me with questions, or any additional photos.
I ship free USPS Priority Mail for US bidders!
Albums are packaged very well using a record box mailer, cardboard inserts, corner and edge protection, bubble wrap, etc.
Stay tuned to my auctions for more rare gems in the coming weeks. Thanks for bidding!
