The Cure - "Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me" double LP, Peruvian edition on Polydor / El Virrey. 1987-1988 pressing.
Extremely rare edition of classic double LP by The Cure. It is the PERUVIAN PRESSING. It was pressed at the time of its original release, in 1987 or 1988 (the only pressing that was made in Peru). This was at the time when Peru was passing through a surrealistically large economical crisis, accompanied by major violence all around, corruption and delicuency, car bombs, curfew, no electricity, no running water... the country almost collapsed. It is a miracle this double LP was made in such a context and time. Probably very limited quantities were made.
Both vinyl discs are in excellent condition, played just a few times. The inner labels of the discs are styled according to the cover, an even rarer phenomenon (as all labels were usually generic, with some plain text on it). The cover has some very light wear (shelfwear). The cover is not fold-out. The inner sleeves are just protective soft plastic sleeves (like all Peruvian pressed vinyl of that time). I bought it new in situ and it has been shelved for more than 20 years.
