Amsterdam welcomed The Cure with open arms just a year after their debut. The band led by Robert Smith played a captivating set, including their debut single ‘Killing an Arab’ and the song: ‘Boy’s Don’t Cry’, not knowing what a classic this would become in later years. The Cure is one of the most influential and versatile bands out there. They were at the birth of goth rock and their egdy , gloomy songs captured a wide audience. The band is still touring the world today, drawing huge crowds. The magic was already there from the start.
