Description
'Greatest Hits' albums are seen differently by different people. Hardcore, competitive fans hate them because it gives the poseurs access to the popular songs without the greater context of all of the albums. Casual fans like it because they don't have to suffer through the (often) insufferable 'deep cuts' that ... weren't hits.
This is the Cure's version. Nothing but the big ones, with some b-sides to give it gravitas. I like it, but I am well past my Cure phase and no longer listen to music as a form of navel-gazing therapy. But it's still good stuff. Very good.
Condition:
- Vinyl (visual grade): NM (9/10). A real beauty. I looked closely and could not find any surface wear or scuffing. No scratches at all, and a really sweet deep shine. Honestly it looks as if it were just unwrapped.
- Jacket: VG+ (7/10). Minor corner/edge/ring wear and solid seams. Good gloss inside and out. Small scuff on the auld fella's face (corner right eye). But at a glance it seems like part of the photo imperfections.
- Play: -- (X/X): I honestly can't tell you how this plays because I haven't listened to it. My turntable needs a new stylus.
Update: I got my new stylus and play-tested this. The NM visual grade applies to the okay grade as well.
