The Cure – Wish is the band’s acclaimed ninth studio album, originally released in April 1992 and becoming their first album to reach Number 1 in the UK Album Chart, while also reaching Number 2 in the United States. Nominated for a Grammy for Best Alternative Music Album, Wish remains one of The Cure’s most celebrated records, featuring the enduring singles “High,” “Friday I’m In Love” and “A Letter To Elise.” Blending the band’s alternative rock sound with expansive guitars, melodic songwriting and Robert Smith’s distinctive vocals, the album captures The Cure at a major point in their early 1990s career. This 30th Anniversary Edition features the original album newly remastered by Robert Smith and Miles Showell at Abbey Road Studios, presented across 2LPs on heavyweight 180 gram vinyl. Housed in a single sleeve with a wide spine and two printed inner bags, this edition is issued by Fiction Records, Polydor and UMC under catalogue numbers fixh 20, 357 931 4 and 0060243579314(6).
