Description

I am selling my main copy of Contemporary C3526 The Curtis Counce Group in visual VG/VG (side 1/2), mono playback VG/VG+ (side 1/2) condition, with a cover as shown (VG due to rubbing wear at the top/bottom seams, no splits; spine is split and worn, which is really where the VG comes from if it is important to you). It is a deep groove mono copy and has been ultrasonically cleaned. Side 1 has one or two light sideways scratches on track 1. The scratches produce some intermittent soft tics on playback for less than a minute starting about a minute into the first track, and I have uploaded a Tascam DA-3000 .wav capture (download link https://app.box.com/s/xglh7r28ipzppbl9vq7gkcnidk48zqji -- it is a stereo capture, and quieter if you have the ability to enjoy mono playback!) with no editing whatsoever (listen and judge, or even fold down to mono). It is not really intrusive for the most part and this record gave me a lot of listening pleasure as my main copy till a marginally better one landed in my lap a couple of days ago. Side 2 is a visual VG with VG+ playback. It does have many hairlines and a long visible but unfeelable scratch that does NOT show up during playback with my setup. Other sound samples available upon request -- please note my VG+ is based on mono playback, and if you are using stereo, the grading would be a weak VG+ since the noise floor is higher. Priced to move. I have done my best to list what I consider a solid copy, warts and all. If you are on the market for one, this will make you happy. If you are looking for VG+ all around as a possible NM-, do not consider this one.
