THE DIZZY LIMIT " ALONE / MARE TRANQUILLITY " ODE 4 , NEW ZEALAND ........ Another mega rare NZ single i decided to part with afterall these years , A big fave since one of my fave sounds in a psych tune is always PHASE !!!!!!! if that;s your bag ,you dont have to read what follows , go to bottom of the page AND BID!!!! It's like these guys produced this certain 45 especially for us , the PHASE-lovers .... Both sides are based to this effect ,like the guys just inveted it !!! like small children that they learn something new and use it after to maximum use!!! " Mare tranquillity " is in my top-3 of PHASE PSYCH TUNES , almost all instruments and voice pass through phase effect , fladger ,you hear instruments playing diverse , various other sound effects , total LSD experience sound , half song is instro and blows your mind completely , then somewhere in the middle , vocals come in and the whole goes even more psychedelic , believe me you'll loose your mind with it ,in any possible state of mind you might 'll be !!! Has the atmosphere of " i've got the love" of RUPERTS PEOPLE ( one third of phase for ruperts guys in comparison... ) but is less melodic lyrical and more close to BEYOND THE CALICO WALL sound!! B side is in same style , less phase less effects , but to be honest there's so much in 1st side that you feel you had enough, your head is still spinning-swirling , so you need a more laidback flip to follow , Very rare on indie small label, heavy vinyl deep great pressing , will still play perfect after another 50 years ...... NEEDLESS TO SAY HOW RECOMENDED THIS IS ......... Few words about me now, i used to collect for over 10 years now focused 100% in 60's beat/garage/psych/prog music , mostly 60's 45's ,but now i decided to sell the big part of it,so many more will follow ,almost all records since from my private collection will be sound graded as well since i know them all very good, this ofcaurse is much more important than the typical visual grading that the majority of ebay sellers do , since i was a collector myself i'll try to be as strict as i can on grading ,but keep in mind that 95% of my records are in really enjoyable condition and are keeper's copies for serious collections , postage would be 6$ worldwide, good luck and feel free to ask whatever..
