A hard-to-fault condition copy of this 1971 UK 1st press Doors rock gem

Gleaming, jet black sheen, weighty and completely flat vinyl - excellent plus (EX+) condition - in normal daylight there is not a mark in sight and it is only with very close inspection and the vinyl tilted to the right angle that just a few very, very light paper scuffs come into view on each side - purely superficial, very trivial and not impinging upon the superb stereo sound quality at all. Such impressive condition for a record that is now 52 years of age, and combined with the fact that both labels are pristine (even with very close inspection I find it difficult to identify and spindle trails at all), it strongly suggests that this record has been very sparingly played - remarkable! The iconic non-laminated (very slightly textured) outer sleeve with embossed "DOORS" text, rounded corners, and a front-side cut-out window with clear acetate on which the band photo is printed black half-tone - each specific to 1st press copies only - is in excellent plus (EX+) condition. Firm edges with just the merest hint of a few intermittent lightest of light and non-obvious scuffs on the top edge (nothing really), perfectly defined rounded corners with no rubbing at all, a rigid spine with all spine text perfectly intact, firm opening edges with no fraying, no cardboard creasing, no ring wear, and all art work, photos, and text retaining perfect clarity, original colour vibrancy and in beautiful condition still. The condition of the outer sleeve really is hard to fault - just a couple of non-obvious and very light small handling/storage marks if you look closely. And the same can be said for the yellow inner sleeve (with black and yellow crucifix image on one side) except (and I have only just noticed this) for a non-obvious 6cm strip of tape which has been very carefully stuck on one edge to disguise a 4cm seam split. Note that the record will be posted inside a new poly-lined white inner sleeve in order to protect the original. The stereo sound quality is truly near mint (NM) - no skips, jumps, repeats, sticks, clicks, interference, distortion or background crackle. This record plays as well as it did on the first day it was purchased with great tone and crystal clear vocals and instrumentation, and every track remains a great listen.

Note that I always insert the vinyl into a new plain white poly-lined inner sleeve in order to protect the original during postage, and separate this from the outer sleeve to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these precious records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me.
