Description

The Dragon Brothers (& Friends): "12/5/64" 1964, USA/Location Recording Service LRS 1264-2482. Disc looks M- at a glance, but a couple of tiny marks on one side make a few ticks, so it gets a VG+ grade. The labels on the disc had track listing errors, so a replacement set was printed and glued on back in the day. The glue has dried out and the labels are loose now but will be included. The cover has damage along the spine, no splits but it gets a Fair grade due to this. Ultra-rare private press recorded live at Doug Dragon's wedding reception back in December 1964, by future SunWest engineer/producer Donn Landee! The Dragons were friendly with a lot of great musicians, many of whom played at Doug's wedding reception in late 1964. Bruce Johnston of The Beach Boys appears, so do Ed Carter and Mike Kowalski who were both members of the British band The New Nadir, and both were later in The Beach Boys. Wrecking Crew guitarist Don Peake appears. They do quite a few covers, including "Summertime", "Baby What You Want Me To Do", a rather tongue-in-cheek version of "A Hard Day's Night", "Lucille", etc. I've never seen this before, and likely won't again!

Everything I offer is guaranteed. I try to note any flaws with the disc and the cover so that there are no surprises when the box arrives. Be sure to view my other iamthewitch auctions as I have more stuff like this up for grabs this week.

I ship all records in strong cardboard mailers with cardboard flats added to increase stability. The discs are always removed from the jackets to prevent seam splits, and all albums are dressed in plastic sleeves for travel. Please be aware that these supplies are expensive to purchase and represent a small portion of my shipping charges. I pack/ship one day per week, usually it is Friday.
